The Resistance Project

Organisers, pirates, the steadfast. Across history, ordinary, every-day people have found their own way to meet moments of political crisis. 

Who do we need in this moment of political crisis? And who would you be?

I've been energised by these questions for years, culminating most recently in a devised piece - The Greater Good Company - performed at the Old Red Lion Theatre in January 2026.

Project evolution

Over Spring 2025, I ran a series of relaxed R&D workshops to explore these ideas. We shared existing stories of individual resistance, experimented with fictional characters and situations. This led to R&D days at Canada Water Theatre in August & October 2025, kindly supported by Theatre Peckham's INCUBATE scheme.

In January 2026, the first full-length project was created from these sessions - THE GREATER GOOD COMPANY, which ran at the Old Red Lion.
